Carlos Jiménez Flores Explores Love in New Book
Author Carlos Jiménez Flores’ latest book, Bliss Eternal, is a book of poetry about love in different stages.
He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He spent part of his childhood and some of his adult life living in Puerto Rico, in the towns of Bayamón, Río Piedras, Carolina and Viejo San Juan respectively. He has also lived in New Jersey and California.
He has earned a certificate of Business Accounting from Today’s Educational Network, an Associate’s degree with a concentration in Education from Wilbur Wright Community College and a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Human Resource Development and a minor in Sociology from Northeastern Illinois University.
He is a poet and author of five books: From the Other Side of the Tracks, Ghetto Faith, One Percent and La sombra en agosto and Bliss Eternal.
He is also a filmmaker having produced four feature films in different capacities: Fast Lane, Scalene, Pendejo (Idiot) and Motel Hell 2012, which he also wrote and directed.
He is also a photographer. He published his first book of photography, Cuba’s Classic Cars, which is a coffee-table book of a collection of functional American cars from the early twentieth century still operating on a daily basis in the Caribbean island. His photography is also featured in the book, Nuestro planeta by Sarita, available through Caney Publishing.
